Henüz beta sürümü olan İnternet explorer 9′un öncekilere göre hız farkı hemen belli oluyor.Flash ağırlıklı veya javascript yüklü siteler örneğin youtube, gmail vb. siteler hızlı ve sorunsuz bir biçimde çalışıyor.Grafik özellikleri ve yetenekleri de arttırılmış. Chrome tarayıcısında gördüğümüz adres satırında aynı zamanda arama yapılabilme özelliği artık İE9′da da bulunuyor. Chrome tarayıcıdaki gibi bir sekmeyi tarayıcı dışına sürekler iseniz sekme başka bir internet explorer penceresi olarak açılıyor. Sekmeyi açık olan pencerenin içine sürükleyip eklemek de mümkün.

Event object's 'trusted' property
In recent changes to the W3C DOM Level 3 Events specification's Last Call feedback, the working group elected to change the 'trusted' property to 'isTrusted' to match the property of the same name and semantics in Mozilla browsers. IE9's implementation of this property has been adjusted to match.
